On January 16th, 2026, my colleagues at Glass Half Full Theatre and I presented a rather ambitious, but exciting project. A large-scale, immersive experience for 200+ audience members featuring 4 giant lantern puppets.

This included, of course, Cassandra, but also three new friends of her that I have yet to add to my portfolio:

Lady Libélula, designed by 5th graders at Travis Heights Elementary, who took in the audience’s memories about weather in Austin;

Monsieur Murciélago, designed by the Super Seal 5th graders at Reilly Elementary school, who listened to the audience’s fears about future weather in Austin;

and Kitty-corn, designed by 5th graders Maplewood Elementary School who listened to the audience’s memories about the weather in Austin;
