Too Much of A Good Thing (working title) – Investigative theater piece developed about Lake Atitlán: a sacred site for Tz’utujil (and some Kaqchikel) Maya communities, a site of biodiversity ringed by volcanoes, a site of massacres during the Civil War, a place where an airline once dropped sea bass from the sky to make it more appealing to tourists, and, crucially, a place where Americans travel to ingest psychedelics and ‘find themselves’. It is also dying.
The Crab, A Bubble Burst Play – Country book musical. Equal parts stress dream, worker-exploitation tragedy, immigration tale, sea-level rise fable, love letter to Austin Texas, and ode to a cartoon yellow sponge that cannot be named for trademark reasons. Co-developed with composer James Parker.
